HAHA.. now everyone knows im having it..

Finally an interesting topic to talk about....

The next time you want to talk about equality to guys, please resist the urge. Because the next thing you know, you will be bombarded with expletives and a lot of talk about equality indeed.

Well you see, the thing is while we, being the "weaker sex" [nevermind fairer, (stares at minser)] do see some discrimination practised, some societal norms that is so prevailent that appears to be so unfair, we must never forget that the our male counterparts, too have things that are unfair to them as well.

Just imagine you are a guy.

You are expected to:

1. Earn and provide for you family.
2. Be strong physically and mentally. (If not they call you sissy.)
3. Hear women complain about equality since guys are so supposedly to be the oppressor.
4. Make the first move if you like a girl.
5. Have no say when you get molested/rape by a female. (The law protects the women and not the guy in this area, lets just admit it.)
6. And all other things I can't think of since I never was a guy. Nor am I a guy.

Thus, if we girls want to cry foul, and seek Equality, there are certainly many, many things to change.

These include:

1. No more holding doors for you. (Equal what. HOLD YOURSELF LAH)
2. No more shopping for you. (Equal what. GO AND WORK.)
3. Your husband can wear skirts and dress. (Equal what. You can cross dress how come your husband cannot?!)

So you see. If equality is in full blast, everything might not be as rosy as communist might paint it out to be. Do you know why?

Because to begin with, we are not equal!

That is why, I recommend you to adopt the fluffy feminist thinking. Do not be mistaken my dear guy friends. I know the word "feminist" will launch you into a series of fuck yous and wa laus, but chill. You have missed out the important word -- fluffy. Fluffy feminists fight for men's rights too. Or so I have heard. Because essentially its about equality (in some areas).

But the difference is they CELEBRATE the difference and don't ask for stupid things like

God. Make us men. And make the man less man.

While it is true that they fight for woman's rights, it is totally untrue that it is the main goal to set women on equal status as men. For there still crucial things that need to be done:

-Women are constantly victims of abuse in many broken marriages.
-Women (and must I add the word capable?) find it harder to get what they deserve in the work place. Statistics have shown that women with the same academic qualifications as their male peers, earn significantly less in any part of the world. Of course one can't deny that this may be due to performance, etc, but let me remind you that it is SIGNIFICANTLY less.
-Women in many third world countries are still injustly killed by their husbands for commiting adultery. And in most cases, these are without trials. More importantly, for the woman to be perceived as an adulterer, all it takes is just an exchanged of looks between another member of the opposite sex.
-Circumcision are forced on young teenage girls. And mind you, many of them bleed to death. Even if they don't die, they feel intense pain during sexual intercourse and its not funny.

Some people might find it ridiculous for feminists in general to even exist, since there are so much inequality around such as racial inequality, social inequality, etc, which are probably seen as more urgent social issues to tackle with. Eg, the african americans are still discriminated in some countries, so why don't you stupid feminists go help them instead of bargaining and hussling about maternity leave?

But we cannot forget gender inequality simply because it still concerns almost half (or more than half, can't be bothered to check lah okay?) of the world's population. If we can do something about the pressing issues mentioned above and beyond, we already solve a lot of problems within racial and social inequality, etc.

Why? Just think about it. If you say that the Maoris in New Zealand are at a social disadvantage, then I can most assuredly tell you that it life will be harder for a Maori woman than a Maori man. The discrimination for the Maori woman will not only be that of a racial one, but also the infamous gender onein nature. So if feminists of this century continue to pave easier roads for woman, woman at the bottom of the racial/social/and whatever I cannot think of now will not face double jeopardy.

So girls yes, fight for your gender rights, but know what you are doing. Don't end up rebelling for the sake of rebelling or to cover up the fact that we can't do a pull up on the pull up bar. Can't do means can't do lah. Don't give crap talks like oh because I am a girl.

If you are fat, then say so. If you are weak, admit it. Don't taint the name of Venus.

And trust me girls, if you can read this on my blog, already prove that you are literate. You've been through some sort of education and you are lucky enough to get access to a computer and the internet.

You have what many of the women in just the last past few decades would never even think or even dream of.

And all these, you got to be thankful. not to just any feminist, but Mr. Feminist.

We girls only got so far with the feminists, and more specifically feminists who happen to be guys. Don't act so shock. Do you think the world would actually listen to a bunch of braless females asking for rights to vote?

It is because of all the Mr Feminist in the world who are able to empathise, or at least sympathise with the female predicament in their time, and actually fight for them. Think about it. Would we have gone this far if not for men fighting for us? If they did dominate the world then, then it wouldn't it be inevitably take one of them to speak up for us since even women don't listen to themselves, much less the men?

and indeed, we must acknowledge that not all guys are the cause for our misery. For some of them fought their own sex and went against the conventional school of thought. It is not easy and it is certainly admirable. You must have a lot in yourself before you can go through such extent for someone other then yourself.

They were probably being accused of being gays and freaks who have gone soft to think that females actually deserve some of the rights that the men at that time have.

So the next time we girls, want to talk about gender inequality especially to members of the opposite sex, remember your grounds. Remember Mr Feminist before you want to go on and on about your boyfriend watching the tv/playing games and ignoring you for now.

Guess this topic is going to keep u busy for a while...
i wont be blogging till i get my template ready...
